THE CAIRO LOBBY
Location: 1615 Q St NW, Washington, DC Date: Schematic Design Package Completed 2022
Scope: This project involved the restoration and renovation of The Cairo’s main Lobby, a landmark historic building in DC’s Dupont Circle neighborhood, with a storied past and inclusion on the National Register. The clients wished to modernize and update the historic lobby while taking care to retain and restore many of the historic elements. Our concept proposed a new, more energy efficient vestibule, improved traffic circulation, a relocated front desk, allocated mail/package room, and restoration / repair work to historic materials.

CO-OP UNIT RENOVATION IN SOUTHWEST DC
Location: 429 N St SW, Washington, DC 20024 Date: Construction Completed 2019
This project was a full renovation to a 500 sf co-op in SW DC. Housed on the top floor of a mid-century modern tower in the community of Tiber Island, the renovation sought to maximize space with convertible sleeping areas and incorporate clean, modern profiles that compliment the architectural style of the building. Vie Studios performed all design, permitting, and construction management roles.
